THE NATIONAL PORTS AGENCY
Thanks to its strong regional anchoring and its organizational resilience, the agency has managed to federate the entire
port community around common goals. It endeavors for the creation of a competitive port environment, favoring fair
and sustainable development, featuring healthy competition, efficiency, transparency, and good governance, and
ensuring safe and quality services.
The Agency’s main missions are:
• Developing, maintaining and modernising ports.
• Optimizing the use of the port equipment through
the improvement of the ports’ competitiveness and
the simplification of procedures and organization and
operating modes.
• Ensuring the respect of free Competition in conducting
port activities.
• Managing authorizations and concessions.
• Monitoring the enforcement of the provisions of Law
no. 15-02 and the enacting articles thereof.
• Ensuring compliance with port safety, exploitation and
management applicable measures.
