OF THE ANP
Guided by the High Directives of His Majesty King Mohammed VI, may
God assist Him, the National Ports Agency continues to assert its pivotal
role in driving the economic, territorial, and sustainable development
of the ports under its responsibility. The year 2024 stands as a landmark
milestone in the evolution of the national port model, with traffic
volumes approaching 100 million tonnes, up 13% compared to 2023—
clear evidence of the resilience of Morocco’s logistics system in a rapidly
changing global environment.
This momentum is underpinned by an ambitious investment policy,
exemplified by commitments amounting to nearly MAD 1.137 billion. Such
a scale of investment reflects a clear strategy to strengthen the resilience
and competitiveness of the port offering while anticipating the needs of
tomorrow. Projects launched in the ports of Agadir, Laâyoune, Casablanca,
and Lamhiriz illustrate a balanced and inclusive port development policy,
firmly oriented towards the future.
Nizar BARAKA Ecological transition remains a central priority. The strategic partnership
Minister of Equipment established with the French Development Agency (AFD) to bolster the
and Water environmental resilience of Southern ports demonstrates our commitment
to embedding port policy within a framework of sustainability, fully aligned
President of the sessions with the Kingdom’s climate commitments.
