WORD The Moroccan ports embody the ambitious endeavor to create ecosystems
OF THE PRESIDENT where economic, ecological and social developments coexist. As the focal
point of the entire logistical chains dedicated to processing Morocco’s
OF THE BOARD foreign trade flows, these ports hold a distinct significance in the
developmental plans orchestrated by the Kingdom’s Government. These
OF DIRECTORS plans aim, among other objectives, at fostering a diversified and resilient
port offering.
OF THE ANP
This offering supports the anchoring of port infrastructures as a facilitator
of commercial exchanges and underscores the positioning of port
stakeholders in the service of the Moroccan Offer. This offering is expected
to experience significant dynamism, driven by the escalating prospects of
energy transition using natural gas or through the realization of the potential
of green hydrogen.
Furthermore, one of the paramount challenges confronting Moroccan
ports is intricately linked to climate change, with colossal impacts on the
climate resilience of these ports. Hence, the pertinence and significance
that this resilience holds in the strategic plans of the National Ports Agency
are immense, perfectly aligned with the national port strategy in which the
Agency plays a pivotal role in its implementation.
This strategy, which is founded on, among other things, three pillars
directly related to climate resilience and sustainable development, aims to
contribute to the development of a competitive, inclusive, and equitable
economy that fosters opportunities and adds value for both economic
operators and citizens within a responsible and sustainable environment.
