ANP (National Ports Agency) continues its environmental action in port areas across the country. The 2016–2018 campaign follows on from that undertaken between 2011 and 2015 during which water and sediment sampling and testing was carried out in the 27 ports of Morocco stretching all along the Mediterranean and Atlantic coast, from Saidia to Dakhla.
The work involves carrying out physical, chemical and biological analyses of water and sediment samples. These measures produce an up-to-date situational analysis of the water and sediment quality at the ports, measuring how they evolve over time. The results are compiled into brochures and used in awareness campaigns by private and institutional stakeholders to maintain the quality of the port environment.
